‘Mississippi Burning’
Well that what it made me think of. Hard to believe this is in a little
town in central Sweden. There’s a lot of booze consumed by the passengers in
these cars (I nearly said monsters!). Very different, and perhaps more fun,
than a classic car meeting in the UK. Especially as many of the women dress
up in 50′s gear and make-up.

Watching the parade
This is a c.1940 Ford Mercury – parked up while the parade of (mostly
ghastly) American cars crawl past during Rättvik classic car week.
I’ve got to say, I like it, and as a photograph too. The design of the
front end bears a strong resemblance to the British post war Jowett
Javelin.

Passion Wagon
This week is Rättvik Classic Car Week. Virtually all are American…….for
which the Swedes have a strnge affinity. And most are gleaming like new. So
this one made a nice contrast.

Portrait of a Musician – 2
Gun playing us a Scottish tune on the nyckelharpa, over a cup of coffee in
their cosy office. She is also a skit bra snickare! (a damn good joiner).

Sprint Finish
Yep Marcus, I had a whole series of unsharp pics of Peter having a bit of a
tussle with the guy in black. The commentator got quite excited, and made a
big deal of Scottish entrant taking part. So bad luck about his puncture,
but without it he might have had a more boring finish.
