Something rather ugly

Took my camera with me into Dumfries today, but the light was so flat and
lifeless. So this was the only shot I took – a petrol pump from the 60′s.
Remember when you got 4 star, complete with brain damaging lead (for upper
cylinder lubrication). This one had been built into a brick lean to next to
a former coachbuilders/car body repairers. It was so ugly, it was almost
beautiful.

From GoMA

I have to admit that I’d just been looking at a photograph I’d liked, taken
around the Red Road flats, where the images were set in window frame….
then walking back downstairs I saw these blurry figures through the orange
tinted, handmade glass of this window…

This was a beautiful space. A photograph of a photographer at work.
Pre-digital, probably neither of us would have attempted a shot, or killed
it with flash?

The Deerstalker 5K

Well actually, they reckon it’s more like 7.5k, but they don’t tell you that
until you filled in your entry form.

Here’s Andrew looking very relaxed…..must have been that wee pot of coffee
he’s carrying!

Something rather different

I have some signed watercolour prints that my mother gave me by William
Russell Flint. This crop of a blurry image taken in the NY Guggenheim,
especially when printed out on a watercolour paper, is strangely reminiscent
of his work. Well at least that’s what I think!
