Swans in the mist

Swans in the mist

Many of my best images were taken from the bottom of our garden, because, when the light is special, you can get down there in thirty seconds. This shot was taken yesterday morning, when the sun was still very low in the sky. Just printed it out to A3+, and it looks quite good. So, I’ve put it into my ‘exhibition collection’…….if I ever get round to having one!

Loch Lomond

I have nice memories of this place……my parents used to belong to a
sailing club just north of Millarochy Bay, so we spent most weekends there.

Corncockle Wood

Of all my photos taken in recent years, this is the one which pleases me most. You don’t see everything there is to see in the first half second…….the mist adds atmosphere and depth, and the viewer feels a wish to follow the path themselves….well, that’s the effect it has on me! The location is near Templand, Dumfries & Galloway.

Lake Gopen

Lake Gopen is near Sågmyra in Dalarna, Sweden. I like the atmosphere created by the misty conditions + when everything in the scene is not immediately apparent, and how things alter as the mist moves.
