Marstrand Island. An elderly lady struggles up the hill with her shopping

The ferry is named ‘Lasse Maja’ after a prisoner who was escaped from the
fortress by dressing up in women’s clothes. Yes, really! And yeah, I’ve got
dust on my sensor, but not too bad otherwise.

The summer people haven’t arrived at the lakeside yet, so it’s beautiful to
wander around with only birdsong breaking the silence.

Last summer. Driving back from Fjällgrycksbo to Bergen to catch the boat
back to Newcastle. I was very much into misty lakes (this one is in Sweden,
near the Norwegian border). I love landscapes where you need to gaze into
the image for several seconds to figure out what’s going on. For that
reason, I think ‘Corncockle Wood’ is my best landscape shot.
